The story
‘The Outsiders’, a powerful tale peppered with riveting drama about relationships between friends and loved ones, devotion, growing up, the struggles of youth, romance, and, of course, outsiderness, first premiered in 2023 receiving many standing ovations, and went on, hitting Broadway like a maelstrom of creative genius, flattening everything and everybody in its wake.
Its creative use of music, lighting, jaw-dropping choreography, boundless story, and stellar cast mostly comprising debutantes, oozed with the thrill of newness and blew audiences from all walks of life away. ‘The Outsiders’ landed four Tony Awards, an Outer Critics Circle Award, two Drama Desk Awards, a Theatre World Award, as well as a Chita Rivera Award.
