Not only did SUFFS win two Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score, but also landed three Outer Critics Circle Awards, and two Drama Desk Awards, among plenty of nominations. Beautifully ironic, Shaina Taub became the first woman ever to independently win Tony Awards, and is the second woman in Broadway history to write the lyrics and book, compose the music, and also star in her own musical. SUFFS taps into the magnificent historical story of the American suffragettes that fought tirelessly for the right of women to vote. The brilliant, passionate, fearless, and funny theatrical production boldly delves into the successes and setbacks of the American women’s suffrage movement with incredible songs that delight as much as they tug at the heartstrings, magnificent storytelling that is as touching as it is witty, and breathtaking choreography that underlines the music.

SUFFS opened in April 2024 at the Music Box Theatre, running through January 2025.
