Beautifully ironic, Shaina Taub is the first woman ever to independently win Tony Awards, and is the second woman in Broadway history to write the lyrics and book, compose the music, and also star in her own production. SUFFS tells the magnificent story of the powerful American women behind the powerful American women in the lead-up to the suffragette movement of the early 20th century. The brilliant, passionate, intense, and entertaining theatrical production boldly delves into the successes and setbacks of the American women’s suffrage movement with breathtaking songs that delight as much as they yank at the tear ducts, impressive storytelling that is as poignant as it is hilarious, and riveting choreography that both grips and shows.
